The JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) program continues to be in danger of cancellation. The U.S. plans to buy 2,852 (1,763 for the Air Force to replace some F-16s and A-10s, 480 for the navy to replace some F-18s and 609 for the marines to replace AV-8 Harriers.
