Two years behind schedule, the Russians finally launched the key Zvezda ("star") service module for the International Space Station on 12 July. Pizza Hut paid the Russians $1.2 million to paint the restaurant logo on the side of the launch booster, providing the Russians with just enough money to conduct the launch.--Stephen V Cole
