Greece has signed a deal to buy three new 62 meter (190 feet long)  fast attack missile boats from Vosper Thornycroft of the UK. The boats, based on the successful 56m boats built for Qatar, will be capable of 35knots or more. The boats will carry one 76mm gun, two 30mm guns, four anti-ship missiles, and possibly a self defense system. The Greeks are trying to decide whether to fit the boats with a pair of 533mm heavy torpedoes.--Stephen V Cole
