India-Pakistan: March 5, 2003

Archives

The Indian government announced that several models of missiles were being manufactured and put into service. This includes the two versions of the Agni missile (one with a range of 700 kilometers and the other one 2,000 kilometers.) Shorter range Prithvi-II tactical missiles and  Dhanush cruise missiles for the navy were also being put into service.

India and Pakistan are competing to provide reconstruction aid for Afghanistan. The Afghans tend to see India more favorably, as they feel Pakistan was responsible for creating the Taliban and meddling in Afghan affairs.
