Israel said Jordan foiled a Palestinian attempt to launch rockets against Israel from Jordan. This makes sense, as such an attack could bring Israeli retaliation, even against a nation like Jordan, that Israel has had good relations with. Even more such rockets are in Lebanon. The weapons were supplied by Iran, but Syria controls most of Lebanon and is not keen on fighting a mini-war with Israel over Hizbollah rocket attacks on northern Israel.
